Freedom Cruise rolls through Kent County

The event is part of the American Fallen Soldiers Project.

The annual West Michigan Freedom Cruise came through Kent County on Sunday afternoon.

The event is Michigan's largest Gold Star Family Honor Ride.

This year's freedom cruise honored Army Corporal Nicholas Roush of Middleville who was killed in action while serving in Afghanistan in 2009. The honor ride started at Fifth Third Ballpark and rolled through Sparta before heading back to the ballpark.

The event is part of the American Fallen Soldiers Project.

Phil Taylor, an artist from Texas, brought the project to West Michigan for the past five years.
