The Right Place hosts 22nd annual economic outlook for West Michigan

Economic leaders are hoping the "next" governor taking office will help boost business in West Michigan.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Right Place held its annual economic outlook event Tuesday at the Amway Grand Plaza, downtown Grand Rapids.

For the last 22 years, economic planning leaders review regional, state and national industry trends as they relate to West Michigan, providing employment projections and an overall economic forecast for the area. Much of what's to come depends on policies Governor-Elect Gretchen Whitmer follows next year.

Experts also shared insights into the region's current economic development conditions and activities.
