DisArt fashion show celebrates individuality

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - It's not your traditional fashion show. On Saturday, Sept. 22, models will walk the runway, not to showcase the latest fashions, but to celebrate individuality.

Christopher Smit and Jill Vyn are the founders of DisArt, a non-profit arts organization that expresses and informs the cultural identity of disabled people. DisArt's fashion show will showcase the fusion of disability and style.

Event details: DisArt Process and Presence Fashion Show

  • When: Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. at Meijer Gardens
  • Where: Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park - 1000 East Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids.
  • Cost: FREE
