This duct tape art piece pays tribute to your favorite comics

Kerry Mott hand cut the duct tape that went into this incredibly detailed ArtPrize piece that honors some of our most famous late night comics.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Duct tape is pretty versatile. You can use it to fix a lot of things. Some people may even look back fondly on the days when they used a wallet entirely made out of duct tape during their high school grunge days.

But have you ever thought about how duct tape could be used to make art? Kerry Mott's ArtPrize piece is in the B.O.B and it's called "Kings of Late Night." It is entirely made out of duct tape. Its pretty impressive, considering she hand cut all the pieces herself -- all 200,000 of them.

Mott says doing this can take tens of thousands of hours depending on the piece. Aside from ArtPrize, you can also see her work in Ripley's Believe It Or Not museums.
