KALAMAZOO, Mich. - An 18-year-old Kalamazoo Central High School student has been charged with making a threat of terrorism and using a computer to commit a crime after the student threatened a school shooting online.
Police say that the 18-year-old was involved in an argument online and threatened to shoot up the school in a Facebook post.
The Kalamazoo Township Police Department received a tip about the threat on Sept. 19.
Investigators looked into the threat and determined that the student did not have "the means to act on the threat," according to a release.
The student was arrested on Sept. 21 and is being held in jail until arraignment.
