KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A 19-year-old DeWitt woman was killed early Thursday morning in a head-on crash involving three vehicles.
The crash happened near the intersection of Whitneyville Avenue SE and Prairie View Lane in Caledonia Township.
The 19-year-old was driving a Cadillac SUV northbound on Whitneyville Avenue SE when she sideswiped a southbound Ford Escape, according to deputies. The Cadillac then hit an Accura sedan head-on.
The teen was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the Accura, a 21-year-old Middleville man, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Escape was uninjured.
The road has been closed for several hours. Drivers should take an alternate route at this time.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
