OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. - A 60-year-old man from Florida suffered minor injuries after rolling the semi-truck he was driving Friday in Ottawa County.

Deputies along with the fire department and Michigan State Police were called to I-96 near the Kent County border at the 24 mile marker in the eastbound lane.

The driver was taken to an area hospital for an exam, deputies say.

According to a release from the sheriff's department "the semi is and will be in the ditch for some time as it has to be unloaded before it is removed."

Deputies say delays are expected for several hours, however the lanes are open until additional equipment arrives then at least one lane will close. It is suggested drivers find an alternative route.
