Woman, 21, killed in overnight crash on U.S. 131

The 21 year old was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - A fatal crash shut down southbound U.S. 131 for three hours near Rockford early Thursday, Dec. 13.

The initial call came in around 2 a.m. The crashed happened just south of 10 Mile Road.

The preliminary investigation showed a 21-year-old woman was driving north on US-131 when she lost control of her vehicle and drove into the median, overturning several times.

She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest in the southbound lanes.

She was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim in the incident has been identified as Ashley Antor-Lovell.

The crash remains under investigation.
