MUSKEGON, Mich. — With a name like Socks in the Frying Pan, you’d be right to guess this Irish band is about much more than their music.
Shane Hayes joined us for a ZOOM call from Ireland to talk about the band’s scheduled visit to the Michigan Irish Music Festival in Muskegon.
Hayes said the fellas are looking forward to sharing their unique blend of traditional Irish music and “personal flair.”
The band got its start playing together in Irish pubs and Hayes said that experience influenced their style.
The so-called “Sock Invasion” will take over on three different festival stages during the four-day event.
The festival runs September 14-17 at Heritage Landing in Muskegon.
