Sponsored: Red Flannel Festival marks 84 years in Cedar Springs

Events get started on September 30 and then Red Flannel Day is October 7.

Eighty-four times now, folks in Cedar Springs have rolled out the red flannels to celebrate their community and its heritage.

Nancy Deyman, festival president, said the event is about community pride.

That was apparent as she shared some of the highlights of this year’s event, flanked by the festival queen and her court.

Events get started on September 30 and then Red Flannel Day is October 7.

A highlight on that day is the 3 p.m. parade, which will once again feature the Scottville Clown Band.  For more information and a full schedule of events visit www.RedFlannelFestival.org.
