Sponsored: Shanty Creek Resort is an up-north Autumn paradise

It’s hard to resist the crisp, fresh air, beautiful colors, and all the activities the season has to offer.

BELLAIRE, Michigan — Who doesn’t love fall in Northern Michigan?

It’s hard to resist the crisp, fresh air, beautiful colors, and all the activities the season has to offer.

Marketing Director Lindsey Southwell showed us why Shanty Creek is an autumn paradise!

Southwell ticked off a list of reasons, including lodging with a view, plenty of fall golf, and outdoor activities in the fall colors.

She mentioned options that include hiking, biking, boating, paddling on the nearby chain of lakes, glacial hills, or grass river natural area.

There are opportunities for self-guided color tours at the nearby Deadman’s Hills, Tunnel of Trees, and Torch Lake.

One of Shanty Creek’s most popular events is the fall color chairlift rides.

“It’s just a fun and unique way of seeing the fall colors,” said Southwell.

Visitors get a 360-degree view of the fall colors from the blue chairlift at Schuss Mountain.

The resort is offering a Short’s Brewing & Pure Michigan Fall IPA.

A food truck will feature snacks and beverages.

The rides will be open every Saturday and most Sundays in October.

It costs $25/chair, which can fit up to 4 people.
