Sponsored: Volunteers fill a critical role in local LPGA Tournament
The Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give is at Blythefield Country Club, June 13-16. The event promises four days of great golf with the best female golfers in the world. This is year number ten for the tournament, and officials say it couldn't happen without a loyal legion of volunteers. Still, Meijer spokesperson Christina Fecher says there are positions left to fill. The fee to volunteer is $30. Children ages 13 to 18 can volunteer as Standard Bearers or on the Supply Distribution Committee. Volunteers for the Transportation Committee must be 25 years of age or older.
