The West Michigan Whitecaps are well into the baseball season and things at LMCU Ballpark are humming! Fans have a chance to see a lot of great baseball but that’s not ALL the Whitecaps hope they experience. Ben Love is the Whitecaps' Promotions and Fan Engagement Manager and he spoke with us about the focus on family fun and some upcoming promotions:
•May 31 and June 1 – Bluey and Bingo character meet and greet
•June 2 – Las Calaveras de West Michigan, celebration of Latin players and the influence of Hispanic culture on the game of baseball
•June 14 – Princesses and Pirates Night featuring horse and carriage rides and a dance on the field under the stars after the game
•June 15 – Human Cannonball will be shot from second base to home plate followed by a fireworks show
•June 21 – Whitecaps Family Showdown where two Whitecaps families will compete in game show style games to the ultimate Whitecaps prize package
•June 22 – Star Wars Night, featuring a cast of characters throughout the ballpark for photos and interaction, followed by spectacular fireworks show
•July 1-3 – Start off the holiday week with Whitecaps baseball and fireworks after each game, and on Monday July 1 get $2 Johnsonville brats all game long
•Family Sundays – Kids can get pre-game autographs and play catch in the outfield and after the game, kids can run the bases. Also, the first 1,000 kids into the ballpark eat for free!
•After every Saturday night game, stay for a fabulous fireworks show
