Alexis Dumerjean hails from the vibrant city of Orlando, Florida, home of the Orlando Magic—Go Magic! She proudly graduated from the esteemed Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, earning her degree in Broadcast Journalism.
During her time at FAMU, Alexis discovered her passion for storytelling while working as a Sports Anchor and Multimedia Journalist for FAMU TV-20. This role allowed her to advocate for her community by covering breaking news, engaging feature stories, and exciting sports events.
In addition to her journalism pursuits, Alexis was deeply involved in FAMU's NAACP Chapter, serving as President for the 2023-2024 academic year.
A music enthusiast, Alexis loves attending concerts and recently enjoyed an unforgettable evening at the Jhene Aiko concert in Orlando. Growing up in Florida, she cherishes time by the water, frequently visiting the beach to soak up the beautiful sunshine. Alexis also enjoys hanging out with friends, exploring new places, and trying diverse cuisines.
