GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Jeremiah Brown, aka “JD”, is thrilled to begin his TV news career in West Michigan as a Multi-Skilled Journalist for WZZM 13.
Jeremiah is a Metro Detroit native from Canton, MI. Jeremiah fell in love with his camera in high school, and knew he wanted to have a career in media. Jeremiah graduated from Madonna University in Livonia, MI, majoring in Broadcast and Cinema Arts with a minor in Journalism and Public Relations. It was there he learned the joys of working in a fast-paced team environment and worked in all stages of production for short films and TV. He worked as a part of the crew, produced, and directed episodes of the student-run cable show Celebrate Michigan, airing on TV20 Detroit. It was also where he made his on-air debut, appearing as the show’s very first student co-host.
Jeremiah joined the WZZM team to serve the community, and loves telling the stories of those in it, from Lemonade stands in Allegan County, to decades-long store owners in Muskegon, and veterans from everywhere in between.
Above all, he loves listening to stories about people they come from.
When not on air, you’ll find him cooking Korean BBQ, working out, watching anime or anything Star Wars and shows on Netflix, and spending time with his family and friends.
