After two years of being away from West Michigan, Micah returns home as a Multi-Skilled Journalist/Reporter for WZZM 13.
Micah got his start in news as a photographer for another Grand Rapids TV Station. After working with talented journalists for almost two years in West Michigan, Micah fell in love with the reporting side of news and began his reporting career in Tallahassee, Florida.
It's in Florida's Capital City where Micah covered high-profile stories like the continuing murder trials of Dan Markel, severe weather like hurricanes and tornadoes, and the controversial $27 million of tax-payer money allocated from city and county government that went to Florida State Universities football stadium.
Originally from Caledonia, Micah went to Zion Christian High School in Byron Center, and later, graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Agricultural Communications. He is more than excited to start telling the stories in the communities that helped shaped him into the person he is today.
When he's not working, Micah enjoys ice fishing (an activity not popular in Tallahassee), hiking, or playing video games. He also has a cat named Eddie that he adores.
