Tanner Holbrook joined the WZZM 13 On Your Side team in June of 2024 as a morning anchor and reporter.
Holbrook is a native of southwest Michigan, hailing from Coldwater. He grew up watching Grand Rapids television and is excited to return to his home market.
He got his start in news during his early college years at Ball State University in Indiana. There, he reported and anchored for the student-run newscast, NewsLink Indiana.
During his time in college, Holbrook reported and anchored news on WLKI-FM radio in Angola, Indiana, and also spent some time as an intern at WKRC-TV, the CBS station in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Most recently, Tanner worked at WFIE-TV 14 News, the NBC station in Evansville, Indiana.
He started as a reporter there in 2019, and quickly worked his way up to the evening weekend news anchor role. In 2021, Holbrook took over the morning anchor role at WFIE.
During his five years in Evansville, Holbrook played a hand in telling many stories, including the deadly tornado outbreak of December of 2021, several manhunts that found their way to the Tri-State area, and most recently leading a trip to California to cover a local high school band in the Rose Parade.
Holbrook is also very community-focused, having led WFIE's morning show food drive competition over the last few years-- a program that's raised nearly a million pounds since its inception in 2015.
In his free time, Tanner loves to try new restaurants and breweries. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and is very passionate about traveling to new places in the world.
He is out walking around the area all the time, and exploring... so if you see him, please stop and say hello!
You can watch Tanner and the morning team every weekday from 4:30 - 7 a.m. on 13 On Your Side.
