EASTER ACTIVITY: Tie-dyed easter eggs

Looking to make some decorative easter eggs this holiday? We have you covered!

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Traditional Easter egg decorations are overrated, welcome the warm weather this holiday tie-dye!

Here is how you can make your own tie-dyed Easter eggs.

Materials:

  • Hard-boiled eggs
  • Paper towels
  • Food coloring
  • Water
  • White vinegar
  • Rubber bands

Instructions:

  1. Wrap your hard-boiled eggs in a paper towel.
  2. Once the egg is wrapped, twist the extra paper towel and use a rubber band to hold the excess in place.
  3. Hold your wrapped egg by the extra paper towel and start dropping dots of food coloring. (you will want some white left in the paper towel to give it the tie-dye effect)
  4. Fill a spray bottle with 1 cup of water and 1 teaspoon of white vinegar.
  5. Spray your mix on the wrapped eggs and allow the egg to sit for at least a minute.
  6. Remove the paper towel, and voila!
