It seems twerking helped Iggy Azalea shed some extra pounds.
The Aussie rapper claims she dropped 15 pounds in a week, thanks to shooting her music video for "Mo Bounce."
"I went on a meal plan before the video because I knew I would have to be dancing fairly skimply dressed," Azalea told New Zealand radio station Nova 96.9's Fitz & Wappa on Thursday. "I did a lot of rehearsals actually, and man I lost 15 pounds in a week dancing to that song!"
But the "Fancy" rhymer got a little help to perfect her twerking skills.
"I did take classes," she admitted. "I do have someone who is very, very good at twerking, and she helped me. I never realized how flexible you have to be to do that stuff."
Azalea went on to share a prerequisite workout that's ideal for aspiring twerkers: "My teacher was like, 'I really suggest you take yoga' and I didn't know you had to take yoga to be a twerker but apparently you do."
Besides dishing on the benefits of twerking, the 26-year-old recording artist shared a couple behind-the-scenes clips from her "Mo Bounce" video shoot on Instagram.

The twerk-heavy visual has garnered more than 20 million views on YouTube since it was released in March. As for the song itself, "Mo Bounce" reached No. 1 on Billboard and Twitter's Trending 140 chart.
The new track will appear on Azalea's upcoming Digital Distortion album, slated for release sometime this year.
