KENTWOOD, Mich. — If you're looking for something to keep your family busy amid the winter weather, Kentwood Parks and Recreation has just what you're looking for.

The fourth annual Flashlight Yeti Hunt is taking place Friday, Feb. 2 at Bowen Station Park. Families can use their flashlights to search for clues along a mile-long path that will help them track down the yeti, also known as the Abominable Snowman, and his two friends.

“We’re excited to host the Flashlight Yeti Hunt again this year,” said Val Romeo, Parks and Recreation director. “This is a great opportunity for community members of all ages to come together for some winter fun. We look forward to seeing who can find the yeti and his friends first.”

After you've finished the hunt, enjoy hot drinks, refreshments and a photo op with the yeti at the picnic shelter.

The hunt runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2. The hunt was originally scheduled for Jan. 26 but was rescheduled due to weather. It was also moved to Bowen Station Park instead of Covenant Park.

Admission costs $7 per household. You're asked to bring your own flashlight.
