GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Justice 4 All Juneteenth Jam is returning to Grand Rapids for its fourth year next week.
The annual Juneteenth celebration will take place at Calder Plaza on June 19 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The completely free event will celebrate Black art, entertainment, culture and experience.
The event will include live music by local artists and DJs, art showcases, Black-owned food vendors, Black-owned business vendors, games for kids and a Juneteenth information booth.
Juneteenth is a holiday that marks the day when the last enslaved people in the United States learned they were free. It became a federal holiday under President Joe Biden in 2021 when he signed a bill passed by Congress proclaiming it a holiday.
