GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — This holiday season, you'll have the chance to walk through a path illuminated by light installations, complete with immersive music and interactive activities.

The one-mile path will snake through the grounds of the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. Called "ENLIGHTEN," the event will debut at the end of November and continue through the start of January.

The show is designed by Lightswitch and Upstaging, which has created similar shows across the U.S. and worked on projects with artists like Hans Zimmer and Paul McCartney.

Visitors can expect choreographed light installations and music along the path. Some iconic sculptures from the gardens—like the massive bronze horse The American Horse—will also be illuminated in unique ways.

In the past, Lightswitch and Upstaging has used everything from LED lights along trees and plants to chandeliers hung in the wilderness to illuminate your path.

“ENLIGHTEN transcends the ordinary holiday event: It’s an immersive experience that fuses the finest elements of art, nature, and technology to captivate and inspire visitors of all ages. We are thrilled to collaborate with Lightswitch and Upstaging to bring this extraordinary vision to life in our community," said Charles Burke, President & CEO of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park.

In addition to the lights, there will be food, drinks and festive activities.

ENLIGHTEN runs Wednesday, Nov. 27 through Saturday, Jan. 4.

Ticket prices depend on the date and experience you select. Prices for non-members are $12 to $24, and nonmembers can get tickets for $10 to $20.
