GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — New Holland Brewing Company is having a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new spirit-tasting room in Grand Haven

On Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. the public is welcome to join the brewery at its newest location at 24 Washington Avenue, Suite 22, to celebrate.

The location officially opened on July 26, 2024, and is the third tasting room for New Holland.

"We are thrilled to bring our brand to Grand Haven," said Sheila Cunningham, director of retail operations at New Holland Brewing Company. "This new space allows us to share our passion for craft spirits and cocktails with a broader audience and we are honored to be part of the vibrant Grand Haven community."

The tasting room offers visitors a wide range of drink options through cocktails and tasting flights.

Guests will be able to enjoy rum, whiskey, vodka, gin, canned cocktails and canned seltzers. There will also be zero-proof options including non-alcoholic cocktails, beer and sparking hop water.

Packaged snacks are available. However, guests are encouraged to bring in food from Grand Haven restaurants to enjoy with their drinks.

Cunningham said New Holland recognized the historical importance of the building to the Grand Haven community and did their best to honor that with the design choices in the tasting room.

"We were careful to retain much of the building’s character, including the iconic theater marquee, the bar area and lighting fixtures," she said. "Dave White, VP of development & facilities, and his team were very careful and intentional about how they held true to the great vibe of the original space while bringing in subtle modern touches.”

On-site events at the tasting room will include live music, weekly trivia, monthly cocktail classes and more.

The location will be open seven days per week in the summer, but hours may be adjusted seasonally.

Other New Holland spirits-only tasting rooms are in Saugatuck and South Haven.

New Holland’s full-service restaurants, which include beer, spirits and a full food menu, are in Holland, Grand Rapids and Battle Creek.
