Portuguese nun speaks to a crowd in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A Portuguese nun who helped the sainthood cause of Fatima children spoke to a crowd in Grand Rapids on Friday.

Sister Ângela de Fátima Coelho has advocated for the canonization of Saints Jacinta and Francisco Marto. They were made saints in 2017. They were the two shepherd children who witnessed apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima, Portugal.

"[It was] an event that took place 100 years ago in Portugal, so I'll speak about what Our Lady shared with us and with the lives of the three shepherd children," said Sister Ângela.

Sister Ângela was at St. Anthony of Padua Friday morning, and she will be at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
