GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Close to 15,000 athletes participated in the Amway River Bank Run 2019 between the 5K, 10K and 25K races.
Parker Stinson, 27, of Boulder, Colorado, broke the men's American record in the 25K with a time of 1:13:47.12, breaking the previous mark of 1:14:18 set at the 2014 River Bank Run.
Emma Bates, 26, of Boise, Idaho, was the winner of the women's 25k with a time of 1:23:50.62. More than 3,000 runners took part in the 25K.
Daniel Romanchuck won the wheelchair 25K, and Matthew Chaffee won this year's hand-cycle 25K.
