From hot air balloon rides to the smallest Pride parade in the world – we took a look at events happening this weekend in West Michigan.

MICHIGAN, USA — The temperature may not feel like summer this weekend, but West Michiganders are gearing up for another busy weekend! If you're still looking for plans, here are some ideas on how you can get out and enjoy one of the final weekends of summer.

From hot air balloon rides to the smallest Pride parade in the world – here’s what’s happening this weekend in West Michigan.

Creston Pride Festival

The community of Creston is hosting its first annual pride fest on Sunday. The event will have food trucks, an artist market and a parade.

The event is organized by Vivo en Church who says everyone is welcome this weekend.

“I'm just super excited to see families come out,” Reverend Ricardo Tavarez said. “Also just getting to know each other and continuing the phrase, or the motto, that we keep in this neighborhood: ‘Keep Creston funky!’”

The fest runs Sunday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Allegan County Fair

Those at the Allegan County Fair pride themselves as “Michigan's most popular fair.” This is the 172nd year of the beloved celebration.

In addition to the traditional fried fair food and games – legendary rapper Ludacris will be performing.

Other musical acts like Third Eye Blind and Oliver Anthony will also hit the stage this weekend.

Doors open Friday at 1 p.m. and at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Wayland Balloon Fest

If you are in the Wayland area this weekend – look up!

Michiganders will have the opportunity to take a ride in a hot air balloon for a good cause.

The fourth annual Wayland Hot Air BalloonFest will benefit 4 One 2 Cares, a Wayland nonprofit focused on suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

The festival will be held on Sept. 6 and 7 at Calkins Field at 3755 S Division.

The festivities begin at 4 p.m. on Friday with a vendor show, food trucks and live music performances.

On Saturday, there will be a memorial walk to remember those the community has lost to suicide.

Tethered rides begin at 5 p.m. each night. Balloon launches will start at 6:30 p.m. and the balloon glows will begin at 8:30 p.m.
