GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Every Wednesday, we help you plan your weekend with Grand Rapids Kids — and there are several events to help you get out of the house this winter.
An interactive and mystifying light exhibit was installed on Monroe Avenue in Grand Rapids. It's called Prismatica and the collection of 25 pivoting light prisms provide a unique experience for all ages. As the prisms rotate, a soundtrack of bells plays in the background. The exhibit is free to check out and will be at 555 Monroe Ave. NW from Jan. 17 to Feb. 16, 2020.
Something else to check out -- the Grand Haven Winterfest is happening Thursday, Jan. 23. It'll take place all day at Mulligan's Hollow Ski Bowl and it's free to attend. There will be a Glow Bowl, snow volleyball, family dog pull, cardboard sled race, a snow angel contest and more.
The 7th annual Kids & Family Expo is happening this weekend at DeVos Place. It's on Saturday, Jan. 25 and features everything from zip lining to a petting zoo. There will be human foosball, bounce houses, a rock wall and even a pirate ship slide. It scheduled from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and all activities are included in the price of admission (expect for the zip line).
Also happening this weekend -- the Huntin' Time Expo! It's on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. The expo will feature a variety of hunting exhibits, products and services. There's also activities like gun and bow practice, hands on interaction with live animals and snacks and drinks.
