Gilda’s LaughFest to return to Grand Rapids for 14th year

The annual gut-busting event, which helps support those who have been impacted by cancer or are dealing with grief, is set to return March 2024.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Now in its 14th year, Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids is on deck to bring some humor over to West Michigan, and they’re hoping to continue doing a lot of good along the way.

The event runs from March 6 to March 10, with Gilda’s Red Door Gala following on March 14 at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.

The focus of Gilda’s Club is to provides free emotional healthcare to children, adults, families and friends on any kind of cancer journey. They also work to support those grieving the death of someone in their life due to any cause.

“Gilda’s Club is looking forward to bringing back LaughFest and the Red Door Gala to the West Michigan community,” Gilda’s Club president Wendy Wigger said in a press release. “These two events increase awareness and help generate much needed funds for our free support program.”

As those dates approach, audience members can expect a variety of both free and ticketed events taking part in Grand Rapids, Wayland and Lowell.

“In addition to offering something for everyone in Lowell and at Gun Lake Casino in Wayland, the Clean Comedy Showcase, a LaughFest fan favorite, will return to The B.O.B. and Dr. Grins Comedy Club, which will include both show only and dinner and show options,” Gilda’s Club media contact Tyler Lecceadone wrote in a press release. “This year’s festival will feature nationally-known comedians, as well as seriously fun and funny events for all ages. In addition to The B.O.B., locations for events will include Fountain Street Church, Midtown at Studio Park, Golden Age at Creston Brewery, Wealthy Theatre, Gun Lake Casino and UCC Lowell.”

Talent and schedules for LaughFest are expected to be announced January 2024.
