GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — From recliner seats to 4K laser projectors, Celebration Cinema Studio Park in downtown Grand Rapids boasts the best in the theater business.
Ron Van Timmeren from Celebration Cinema gave a behind the scenes look inside the projector room.
He discusses the advancements in technology -- from film to the digital age.
The projector room for Studio C shows off the latest and greatest technology currently in the industry.
The nine projectors have digital, 4K laser technology, which offers the brightest, crystal clear picture and sound.
Van Timmeren also covers how movies get from Hollywood to individual theaters via a library management system, which receives features through satellite.
Although, some movies do still get sent to individual theaters on a hard drive, theaters have some a long way since the film days.
Van Timmeran shared some of the history of Studio C, where the Studio sign in the lobby of the theater came from and how the original Studio 28 started it all.
