Kid Rock gets engaged to longtime girlfriend Audrey Berry

Kid Rock and his longtime girlfriend, Audrey Berry, are engaged to be married, multiple sources have confirmed to the Free Press.

Kid Rock and his longtime girlfriend, Audrey Berry, are engaged to be married, multiple sources have confirmed to the Free Press.

The two quietly got engaged earlier this year, according to people close to the Detroit star, and fans spotted Berry with a big, can't-miss diamond ring during this Kid Rock's Chillin' the Most cruise this past weekend.

Rock and Berry have been a tight item for years since meeting in suburban Detroit a couple of years after the dissolution of Rock's marriage to Pamela Anderson.

Rock and the "Baywatch" star divorced in 2007, just months after their private wedding in the south of France.

Unlike the high-profile romances that marked the early years of his career, Rock has deliberately maintained a wall of privacy around his relationship with Berry.

"“This is somebody who is not a celebrity. It can really be a tough thing to deal with," he told Piers Morgan in 2011. "I’m thinking of somebody else, trying not to be so selfish."

In the years since, Berry has become a well-known figure within the Kid Rock fan community, hanging out and posing for pictures at events such as Chillin' the Most. Rock's 2015 song "Johnny Cash" was in part a tribute to Berry, including the line, "I like to watch you shoot your guns."

Photos of Berry with her ring began popping up today on a private Chillin' the Most Facebook group, as fans settled back home following the eighth annual cruise, which traveled from Tampa to the Bahamas.

Rock continues to work in Nashville on the follow-up to his 2015 album, "First Kiss." Cruise-goers said on social media that Rock's onboard performance included a new song, "American Rock 'n' Roll."

Rock's spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.
