GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — The chill in the air may be best enjoyed with a chilled wine! The Grand Haven Main Street is celebrating winter with the 11th annual wine and art walk about.
"Wine About Winter" is happening Friday, Jan. 17 and this year's theme is "A Taste of Italy." The unique event offers the community the chance to wander heated sidewalks and experience the warmth of Grand Haven Main Street in the midst of winter.
The festivities kick off with the Artist’s Award Ceremony at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum beginning at 5 p.m. Local store fronts from Beacon Boulevard throughout Centertown and along Washington Avenue will be displaying local art and serving up treats and wine from the different regions of Italy.
Then from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. there will be wine tasting opportunities in 19 different locations throughout downtown Grand Haven. There will also be 30 West Michigan artist on display, with art for sale and demonstrations.
Admission to Wine About Winter is $5 and can be purchased at Harbourfront Place or Frame and Mat. There is also a free shuttle available to attendees throughout the evening that will drop people off around downtown.
