GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Valentine's Day is fast approaching and along with it, a celebration of love... and ice in Grand Rapids.
Valent-ICE is one of Michigan's largest ice festivals. It kicks off at Rose Parks Circle downtown Grand Rapids on Friday, Feb. 14 and will run through the weekend.
Ice Guru Randy Finch stopped by My West Michigan Tuesday to show off his ice carving skills, and some of the pieces he'll have at Valent-ICE.
The celebration is part of the city of Grand Rapids' annual World of Winter event. It will feature 50 ice sculptures scattered throughout downtown and a walking tour to see them all. There will also be games, including ice beer pong and frozen cornhole. You can even do yoga in the snow!
Here are the dates and times of Valent-ICE this weekend:
Friday, Feb 14
4 until 8 p.m.
Saturday, Feb 15
Noon until 8 p.m.
Sunday, Feb 16
