GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — It's Earth Day and what better way to celebrate that with an experiment that turns raindrops into rainbows!
Val, Kirk and Catherine gave this fun Pinterest experiment a try, they had a few good laughs at the results. But it is one that will keep kids occupied for at least a little while.
SUPPLIES:
- Cooking oil
- Food coloring
- Two clear containers
- One spoon for stirring
DIRECTIONS:
- Pour one cup of cooking oil into one of the clear containers, add several drops of each food coloring, stir gently.
- Fill second clear container half way with water
- Pour oil with food coloring into water container
- Wait patiently for raindrops to form and slowly fall
