GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — All men are at risk for prostate cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, its the most common cancer in American men. The ACS says about 1 in 9 will get it in their lifetime and yet we rarely talk with our men about getting screened.
It's time to change that with a more social way of making sure the men in our lives understand the risks of prostate cancer with the event..
Bob Prevette, Director of the West Michigan Prostate Health Alliance and Connie Szczepanek Director at Cancer Research Consortium of West Michigan give us some insight on the events that provide support for men.
Here are the restaurants participating in this year's event:
- Tuesday, Sept. 10: Forty Acres Soul Kitchen, Grand Rapids, 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Monday, Sept. 16: Atwater Brewing, Grand Rapids, 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Monday, Sept. 23: Cedar Springs Brewing Company, Cedar Springs, 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Sept. 24: Pigeon Hill Brewing, Muskegon, 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
