GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Kent District Library is closed due to COVID-19, however, that's not stopping the library from bringing fun and educational programs home to you and your family!
Don't worry if you didn't have a library card prior to the stay-at-home order, folks at home can get their KDL library card access online here.
One of the many online programs KDL features is Mango Languages and CultureGrams, the perfect educational activity for kids at home!
Mango is an online language learning system that teaches practical conversation skills for real communication. It's a fast, easy, and effective way to learn to speak a foreign language. Courses are offered for 70 foreign languages and ESL tailored for 20 languages.
CultureGrams provides country reports that go beyond mere facts and figures to deliver a one-of-a-kind perspective on daily life and culture, including the background, customs, and lifestyles of the world's people. Individual reports cover 200+ countries, all 50 United States, and the Canadian Provinces.

Other program KDL features on their website are career building skills by Penn Foster, home improvement reference center for adults stuck at home, free access to Ancestry.com (KDL library card required), and KDL's online book club for kids and adults.
