If you're a budding writer of any age there's a really great KDL program that will help you grow your skills. Maybe you'll even win some money and have your work published. It's the 13th annual Write Michigan Short Story Contest. Writers from youth to adult are welcoome to submit their work. Last year there were more than 1,150 entries. There are cash prizes for judge's choice writers, as well as people's choice. The deadline to submit is November 30th. There’s a 3,000-word maximum length; $10 entry fee for ages 18 and above, and it’s free for writers 17 and younger.
The program needs writers but also volunteer reviewers, so if you love to read this is a wonderful opportunity. Submit entries at www.writemichigan.org.
