GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Families around West Michigan can get a head start celebrating Halloween at a safe and fun trick-or-treating event provided by Corewell Health’s Healthy Pride business resource group.
The first annual trunk-or-treat event is on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 2 to 5 p.m. at 522 Plymouth Ave. NE in Grand Rapids.
Healthy Pride Chair Laura Wilson said there will be Halloween-themed vehicles decorated and operated by Corewell Health team members. Prepackaged candy will also be available.
Healthy Pride is a team member-led business resource group at Corewell Health, made up of nearly 900 individuals helping to provide a diverse and inclusive atmosphere for Corewell Health LGBTQIA+ team members and allies.
Healthy Pride Chair Laura Wilson said the trunk or treat will be the first of many events that Healthy Pride hopes to host throughout Michigan to allow team members, their families and community members a space to come together in a safe, inclusive environment.
