GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — With about 100 days until the 2019 Grand Rapids Triathlon, it's time to start training!
13 On Your Side's Laura Hartman and Shanna Grove are beginners to triathlons - both will be competing in the sprint triathlon course. Kari Stuart of Stuart Coaching has designed a training plan specifically for triathlon beginners.
The plan is 12 weeks and is broken into three phases: base, build and peak. Each week also includes long, speed and brick workouts.
