West Michigan chefs compete for top title at Chef Prize 2019

Proceeds from the event will go to Kids' Food Basket.

FRUITPORT, Mich — West Michigan restaurants are certainly something to brag about. On September 8, one local chef will win bragging rights as the top chef at Chef Prize 2019.

The competition pits chefs from Kent, Muskegon and Ottawa counties against each other. Tickets to the event will include tastes from the plates chefs are cooking up. Proceeds will go to Kids' Food Basket

The event will be from noon until 4 p.m. at Hampton Green Farm in Fruitport. Tickets must be purchased at the door and are $55 each.
