KENT COUNTY, Mich. — The Kent County Animal Shelter is urgently asking for your help to find their dogs forever homes for the holidays.

The shelter hit maximum capacity and says they need to clear out room for more dogs as the colder winter months approach.

Among their adoptable pets are two bonded pairs who are looking to stick together.

First is Dude and Vera, who love to play together. The pair are about 4 years old, just over 50 lbs and both American Staffordshire Terrier mixes.

Dude is getting stressed from the shelter setting. He is starting to lose weight and shelter staff say they can see his bones, despite all their efforts to feed him more. They think finding a forever home would help him calm down and get him back to normal weight.

The second duo is Zeva and Duchess, a mother and daughter who are kenneled together. They love each other immensely and enjoy cuddling and playing with each other, as well as their people! Duchess is about 2 years old and Zeva is 1.
