SEATTLE — A popular craft soda (pop) maker is bringing cannabis-infused versions of their products to Michigan soon.
Jones Soda and its partners announced multiple new cannabis products would be available beginning in September. The products available at dispensaries include:
- 20mg THC bottled sodas in eight Jones Soda flavors
- 100mg THC sodas in eight Jones Soda flavors
- 200mg THC mixing syrups that come in Berry Lemonade, MF Grape, Green Apple and Orange & Cream flavors inside 4 fl oz glass bottles.
Jones Soda said the mixing syrups will be the first to arrive in Michigan with the sodas coming later. You can view the products at GoMaryJones.com.
The sodas and mixing syrup will be sold under the name Mary Jones—Jones Soda's crossover cannabis brand—and is produced in partnership with Michigan-based Emerald Canning Partners (ECP).
"We share a pioneering spirit with Mary Jones as trailblazers in new and emerging markets. Jones was the first nonalcoholic mainline beverage company to crossover into cannabis with Mary Jones, while Emerald Canning Partners was one of the first cannabis beverage companies in Michigan," said McAlpine, President of ECP. "Mary Jones brings national brand expertise, product innovation and flavor science to cannabis, combined with our depth and knowledge of production and Michigan's legal cannabis market."
ECP operates a joint venture production facility in Mt. Clemens that will produce the sodas and mixing syrups.
Mary Jones also produces THC-infused gummies and shooters, but has not announced any plans to bring them to Michigan yet.
Mary Jones and Jones Soda have not made any announcements to change their branding of "soda" to the more colloquially acceptable version of the word for Michiganders i.e. "pop."
