CHICAGO — The Quaker Oats Company is recalling some of its granola bars and cereals.

The company says that some of its products could be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacteria which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.

Salmonella can cause symptoms of fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain in healthy adults. Infections in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems can be more serious.

The recalled products have been sold in all 50 states and have "best before" dates of March 2024 or later.

The products range from Quaker Chewy Bars Chocolate Chip, to Quaker Simply Granola Oats, Honey & Almonds Cereal, and Frito-Lay Snacks Variety Pack With Quaker Chewy.

Over 40 varieties of Quaker product lines are seeing some batches recalled.

You can find a complete list of the recalled products here. The products listed are the only Quaker products that are being recalled.

Customers with products that are recalled should dispose of them. If you have a recalled product you can contact Quaker Consumer Relations at 1-800-492-9322 or visit QuakerGranolaRecall.com for additional information or product reimbursement.

Wine Country Gift Baskets is also voluntarily recalling gift baskets produced with Quaker Chewy Granola out of a precaution for possible Salmonella contamination. You can find information on which gift baskets are being recalled here.
