GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — One of America's most popular smoothie brands is set to open stores in West Michigan for the first time in the history of the company.
Smoothie King announced that it will be opening six stores around the Grand Rapids area starting in early 2025.
The company says that the stores are planned for Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Wyoming, Holland, Grand Haven and Muskegon.
"We love showing up in a new market in a big way and bringing our brand of nutritious, delicious smoothies to new guests—and Grand Rapids is definitely no exception," said Chris Bremer, Chief Development Officer at Smoothie King.
Smoothie King says they are the largest smoothie brand in the world and the first health and fitness fast casual brand of its kind.
The franchise offers a unique range of smoothies that are designed to meet individual goals of health, fitness, wellness, enjoyment or nutrition.
The smoothies can be flavored with over 40 different ingredients. Each smoothie can also be "enhanced" with nutritional enhancers designed to add protein, fiber, additional vitamins, natural energy and more.
Smoothie King also offers "Refreshers," which are fruit juice-based drinks and "Smoothie Bowls," which is a bowl of fruit and other toppings on top of an açai base.
