ADA, Michigan — Ada Village is ready to bring in holiday cheer with its annual event Tinsel, Treats and Trolleys kicking off Friday, Dec. 1.
The kickoff event on Friday at 5:30 p.m. features the lighting of the Ada covered bridge with Christmas Carolers.
Then at 6 p.m., trolleys begin shuttling visitors through to Santa's village. You're welcome to come take a photo with Santa.
Each trolley stop offers a different activity for the family to enjoy, from a storytime with Mrs. Claus, a dance party or even a chance to meet Iditarod sled dogs.
New this year, organizers are setting up a Candy Cane Forest where you can write letters to Santa and drop them off in the mailbox.
Another fun addition to the festivities is the Scavenger Hunt. Be on the lookout for 30 specially wrapped gifts in the village and that can be turned in at a designated business to receive a gift card.
The event also includes a storefront window competition, a holiday lights walk and the Festival of Trees in Legacy Park.
The fun wraps up at 9 p.m.
