Meijer Gardens announces their upcoming winter displays

As the winter holidays approach, Meijer Gardens has brought 46 international Christmas traditions to celebrate the festivity.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Editor's note: The attached video is from the 2022 display.

From Nov. 21, through Jan. 7, you can experience the 29th annual University of Michigan Health-West: Christmas & Holiday Traditions exhibition.

At the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, holidays are a big deal, so expect an exciting experience for one of the biggest holidays around the world.

What separates Meijer Garden's exhibition from other popular Christmas events is this year's focus on displaying multiple ways in which people gather for the season.

"This year, we're embracing many traditions from around the world that highlight the importance of gathering and togetherness during the holiday season," said Steve LaWarre, Vice President of Horticulture at Meijer Gardens.

The event features its Railway Garden, where model trains run around 40 model buildings based on West Michigan landmarks, and five spots representing Grand Rapids sister cities from around the world.
