MUSKEGON, Mich. — Muskegon will have it's first New Year's Eve ball drop ever this December to ring in 2024.
The City of Muskegon Government chose the Lakeshore Legacy Project to run the event. Organizers said the plans for the ball drop have been in the work for months.
The event will be held downtown on Dec. 31 and feature DJs, a fireworks display and an eight-foot LED ball.
Organizers said the event is free and anyone can attend.
The Lakeshore Legacy Project is currently looking for sponsors for the event and asked anyone interested to reach out to them.
