GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — If the cost of getting your furry friend fixed is keeping you from doing it, The Bissell Pet Foundation has you covered.
The organization is holding a Spay and Neutering event for the first time in Grand Rapids.
You can get your cats fixed from March 13-14 and your dogs from March 15-16 at 3990 4 Mile Rd. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.
The pets will also receive free vaccines and microchips.
"It's really tough to get access to care right now. It's hard to get your pet in for a spay and neuter. And we all know that spaying and neutering your pet is healthy for the pet as well as good for not overcrowding a population. So it's really a great thing to have happen. And we're excited to bring this to the Greater Grand Rapids area," Bissell Pet Foundation Founder Cathy Bissell said.
It's a first come first serve event, and they will be opening at 7 a.m.
