GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Halloween is officially 24 hours away and if you did not get a costume yet, do not panic.
The Salvation Army has affordable, gently-worn pieces that can make your costume stand out.
“A lot of times at these higher priced Halloween boutiques, you are paying a lot of money,” Jacqulynn Idzior, administrator for business at The Salvation Army USA said. “Here you can get something that is not like anyone else... It's going to be totally original, and you're not going to be breaking your bank.”
Most costumes can easily be under $10.
In addition to the store’s low prices, weekly colored tag sales can also chop prices by half.
Purchases also have benefits for other causes.
“Not only are these steals, but your purchases can also benefit a greater cause,” she said. “A lot better for the environment when you look at it from that realm and you're helping the adult rehabilitation center. So, anytime you buy anything, all of the proceeds go to help the adult rehabilitation center that is here in Grand Rapids.”
