CAR SEAT TRADE-IN | Target's popular child seat trade-in program returns this month

MINNEAPOLIS — If your child has outgrown their car seat or if you are just looking for an upgrade, Target is bringing back its popular Car Seat Trade-In program later this month.

Beginning on Sept. 15, bring in your old, expired or damaged car seat and receive a Target Circle Bonus of 20% off the purchase of select items.

The Target Circle Bonus from the trade-in can be applied to both in-store and online purchases and can be redeemed twice between Sept. 15 and Oct. 12. The Target Circle Bonus 20% off can be used on one car seat, stroller or select baby gear items.

Since the program was launched in 2016, Target has helped recycle over 45 million pounds of car seat materials through more than 3 million car seat trade-ins. The program's spring trade-in event was the company's largest ever with almost 440,000 car seats recycled.
