Holland used car dealership under suspension for alleged odometer tampering

The Department of State suspended the license of CQ Auto Sales, LLC on March 4.

HOLLAND, Michigan — A car dealership in Holland is under suspension for allegedly tampering with the cars' odometers on its lot and odometer fraud, according to the Department of State.

The department suspended CQ Auto Sales, LLC.'s license on March 4 after it received multiple complaints from consumers.

Their inspections revealed that the dealership is suspected of falsifying odometer records and tampering with the odometers on the cars that they sell.

The investigation showed paperwork records that the customers had not been informed about the alleged discrepancies in the odometer mileage or that the odometers had been replaced.

The dealership will be suspended until the owner, Catherine Quizena Sanchez, meets with the department. She may also request an administrative hearing to contest the suspension.

The Department of State is asking anyone who wishes to make a complaint against the dealership contact the Office of Investigative Services automotive complaint line at 517-335-1410.
